WA Raiders Coach Announced

WA Raiders campaign offficially underway.

Gridiron West is pleased to announce the selection of:

  • Justin “JR” Rogers as Head Coach, and
  • Joanna “Jo” Rogers as Team Manager

for the 2012 WA Raiders Senior Team. Both JR and Jo are current members of the Perth Broncos, have been involved with Junior and Senior State teams previously and have been actively involved in the development of GW for many years.

Round 1 Results

Round 1 of Season 2011/2012 commenced on Saturday with both Junior and Senior taking to the field against the Curtan Saints.

 

Unfortunately both sides ended up on the wrong side of the results with the Juniors going down 24 - 12 with the Seniors falling 26 - 14

Scrimage Against the Broncos

On Tuesday 4th of October, instead of the regular training session, we will be conducting a live scrimmage against the Bronocs starting 6.30pm at Tregonning field, click for map , also known as Highview Park.


Everyone needs to get down there to ensure we have sufficent number to work through things before our opening game against the Saints this Saturday

Training Times

Training is now on Tuesdays and Thursday starting from the 30th of August.
 

We will be at a new oval for a few weeks still in Nedlands until our ground frees up.  The Oval is called College Park in Nedlands and can be found here on Google Maps

Australia falls in 7th Place Playoff

Austria triumphed 48-10 over a misfiring Australia to claim seventh place at the 2011 IFAF Senior World Championship at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.

 

Jets Reciver Ryan Dwyer had 5 catches for 55 yards in an Australia MVP performance

Germany Edges Australia

Germany clinched a berth in the playoff game for fifth place, but Australia not only scored their first points of the 2011 IFAF Senior World Championship, but also pushed the European Champions every step of the way in an honorable 30-20 defeat.

Australia Defeated 64 - 0 by Mexico

Australia fell to 0 - 2 with a 64 - 0 defeat at the hands of Mexico.

 

The Jets own Ryan Dwyer again contributed to the Aussie Offence with 1 catch for 11 yards and a First Down.

 

The Outbacks next opponent is Germany who lost 48 - 7 in Game 2

Australia Defeated 61 - 0 by the USA

The United States began its defense of the IFAF Senior World Championship of American football with a 61-0 victory over a determined Australia in the tournament's opening game in front of a crowd of 6,000 at the Tivoli Stadium in Innsbruck.

 

The Jets own Ryan Dwyer lead all Australian recievers with 3 catches for 5 yards and a First Down.

 

The Outbacks next opponent is Mexico who defeated Germany 22 - 15 in Game 2

JETS Website Launch

Welcome everyone to the launch of the new website for Claremont JETS.

 

This project has been going on for quite a while now and has almost reached its completion.
